The framed poster utilizes window frames from around Troost Ave. to house Rodney’s quotes. The idea is that these posters could be printed life-size and placed on walls around Kansas City, taking a small piece of Troost and allowing it to cross that dividing line to live elsewhere. The architecture on the east side of Troost is rather beautiful and normally is forgotten. The frame also helps provide structure and the window being placed on a wall has a connotation of allowing someone to pass through the wall (Troost Ave.).

Nick and I also got some user feedback from people around the city, those visiting the shops these posters and stickers would be seen at and who would hopefully be the group of people donating. With my designs, it was rather unanimous that people went for the black and yellow design, siting that it was the most visually interesting and the depiction of the child helped bring focus to the content.
